The idea to build The Dunes Golf and Beach Club was formed in 1947 by Myrtle Beach area businessmen. Designed by famed architect Robert Trent Jones, The Dunes is considered by many to be his finest work. The layout incorporated many of his favorite design features such as long tees, well defined fairway bunkers that give the player targets off the tees and huge elevated greens. Since its birth, The Dunes Club has proven to be a World-Class course, offering the best in golf and service. |
